Product packaging guidelines
Sellers are encouraged to use environmentally friendly packaging, particularly those made from recycled materials, as this helps reduce the negative impact on the planet while also building a positive brand image in the eyes of customers. For refurbished products, it is recommended to reuse the original manufacturer’s packaging, provided it is in good technical condition and does not show visible signs of wear or damage that could compromise the safety of transportation or the aesthetic appearance of the shipment. If reusing the original packaging is not possible, it is advisable to ship products in neutral white or brown cardboard boxes without prints or markings that could reveal the contents. Standard envelopes, especially those without protective features, are not acceptable as packaging, as they do not provide adequate protection during transportation.
When preparing a shipment, sellers should ensure that devices and accessories do not come into direct contact with one another and cannot move around inside the package. Proper protective filling must be used to immobilize the contents and protect them from shocks, dents, or other mechanical damage. The entire package should be prepared to withstand damage that may occur under normal shipping conditions. It is also advisable to avoid excessive use of plastic packing materials, opting instead for eco-friendly alternatives such as paper fillers or biodegradable films, which provide both protection and environmental benefits.
It is strictly prohibited to include any promotional materials, leaflets, business cards, or other content encouraging the Buyer to make future purchases outside the platform. This prohibition applies both to products and services directly related to the Seller’s business and to those offered by third parties, as this could violate fair competition principles and the platform’s regulations.
Special attention should be paid to shipments containing hazardous materials, which must be properly labeled and packaged in accordance with applicable national and international regulations. This includes, among other things, the obligation to display the appropriate United Nations (UN) number on packaging containing lithium batteries installed in devices. Improper labeling of such shipments may result not only in delivery delays but also in legal liability on the part of the Seller. Proper labeling and secure packaging are essential to ensuring safe transportation and compliance with carrier requirements and environmental protection regulations.
